The Aart of Life Foundation is a non-for-profit that was established in September 2002 by TaiwoTaiwo. It was registered as a not for profit, on the 30th of September 2002.

From inception women have been actively involved in the project. In addition to the founder, ten members of the board are women. The very active Aart UK chapter, whose aim is to bring the work of the foundation into focus in UK, and to raise funds in the UK for the foundation, is composed of dynamic young women. They organize fund raising events which capture the spirit of the foundation with the aim of encouraging creative thought and limitless aspirations of young people and in particular young women.

Aart an acronym of the name Abioye Aronke Taiwo is inspired by the life of Abioye Aronke Taiwo, Taiwo Taiwo’s much loved 24-year-old daughter who died in a car accident on the notorious Sobo Arobiodu/ Isaac John intersection of the G.R.A Ikeja, Lagos, on the 19th of April 2002.

Inspired by the life of Abioye Aronke Taiwo, its mission is in keeping with the values with which this remarkable young lady lived her short life. It aims ‘To promote and advance the virtues of love, kindness, compassion, charity, beauty, and sensitivity amongst all Nigerians, and especially amongst the young women of Abioye Aronke Taiwo’s generation’.

The overall purpose of the Foundation is to “Promote and advance the virtues of love kindness, compassion, charity, beauty and sensitivity amongst all Nigerians, and especially amongst Abioye's generation.”  Under this broad charter, the objectives of the Foundation are to:
