CHIEF TAIWO TAIWO - Chairman

CHIEF (MRS.) TAIWO TAIWO is chairman and founder of Aart of life foundation.
She graduated with a B.A. (Hons.) Degree in French/History at the University of Lagos in 1973, and then went ahead to study for her Post Graduate Diploma at the Ecole Hoteliere De Geneve, Switzerland in 1975.
She began her working career in1975 managing the 30-bedroom Maryland Guest House, Ikeja. By 1980 Maryland Guest House had been expanded to the 100 bedroom Maryland Hotel comprising a 100 seater French restaurant La Parisienne and the successful and famous Beachcomber night club.
In 1980, Chief Taiwo Taiwo was appointed the Director of Operations, Shonny Investment & Properties Company Limited and charged with the responsibility  of raising the finance and project managing the 18 story Elephant House project, a project which the company had been trying to realize for some time.
She successfully coordinated the first consortium bridge & long-term lending of banks and institutional lenders in Nigeria to finance the construction of Elephant house, and supervised its construction by Buoygues Nigeria Ltd. The project was completed to budget of $21 million dollars and on time and opened fully in January 1984. She was then aged 32 years.
She was subsequently appointed Managing Director of Shonny Investments & Properties Company Ltd in February1984, a position she holds to date.
In 1989, she completed the pay back of the long term financiers of the Elephant House Project and Shonny Investment & Properties Company Ltd became the first company to have discharged its obligations as at when due in the history of the Nigerian Capital Market.
In 1997, she founded and currently is the Managing Director of The Conference & Training Centre, Lagos, the first African member of the renowned International association of conference Centers.
She has a passion for good causes, and has been involved as founder or founding Chairman of the following successful charity organizations:

  • Founding Chairman & Trustee of the highly acclaimed secondary school, Atlantic Hall – a co-educational non-profit secondary school.
  • Founding Chairman & Trustee of Lagos Millennium Group on the Environment – a nonprofit, pressure group, of business leaders, stakeholders and concerned citizens of Lagos, working to arrest the deterioration of infrastructure of Lagos, improve the environment and make Lagos “The Venice of Africa”.
  • Board member of Fate Foundation, an organization that is focused on improving the fate of aspiring entrepreneurs with limited financial resources by empowering them with skills, resources and networks. 
  • In August 2002,  following the death of her 24yr old daughter in April 2002, she founded the Aart of Life Foundation; an acronym of the name Abioye Aronke Taiwo inspired by the life of her daughter, Abioye Aronke Taiwo. The Foundation is established to promote and advance the virtues of love, compassion, charity and beauty amongst all Nigerians and especially amongst the youths of Nigeria.  

Chief Taiwo Taiwo serves as a board member of various national and international organizations.

Dr Stella Okoli, OON

Dr. Stella Okoli, OON is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, an indigenous group she founded 33 years ago, which has remarkably grown to have footprints in Liberia, Sierraleone, India and Mali.

Born in Kano, Northern Nigeria to the family of Chief Felix Ebelechukwu and Princess Margaret Modebelu of Nnewi, in Anambra State, she attended All Saints Primary School, Onitisha from 1954 – 1959 and Ogidi Girls’ Secondary School from 1959 – 1964.

She later proceeded to University of Bradford in the United Kingdom from where she obtained a Bachelors’ degree in Pharmacy. This academic achievement was followed by an MSc in Biopharmaceutics which she obtained from University of London, Chelsea College in 1971.

Dr. Okoli’s post-graduation work experience is quite impressive. Her experience in the Pharmaceutical field is well consolidated. She initially worked in Middlesex Hospital as a Ward/Clinical Pharmacist, followed in succession by her brief stint as a Pharmacist at Boots Chemist London. Her return home to Nigeria, saw her work at Massey Children Hospital Lagos before she joined a pharmaceutical manufacturing company Park Davies Nigeria Ltd (now Pharma-Deko Plc) as a Medical Representative and later as a Sales Manager.

By 1981, her entrepreneurial drive led her into the Drug Importation business. She imported both Ethical and Over The Counter (OTC) drugs to meet the health needs of Nigerians for quality drugs and by 1984 incorporated Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries, a leading producer of a wide range of drugs, over 70 lines of products and significant contributor to Nigeria’s gross domestic product.

Beyond her quest for knowledge, she has consistently served in finding practical solutions to the perennial problems in our environment. She served as the Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (PMGMAN) she is an active member of many local and international professional organizations such as the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, British Chamber of Commerce, Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association as well as Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce. She received the Bullion Award for her outstanding contribution to Industry and Manufacturing.

She is the Vice President of Manufactures Association of Nigeria (MAN). And she is the Vice president of NACCIMA.

A great Philanthropist and a Change Agent, she has awarded many Scholarships to students in Secondary and Tertiary Institutions and donated generously to the less privileged in the society and consistently supported several non-profit organizations. Mrs Okoli is the Founder of Chike Okoli Foundation. The foundation was set up in 2006 to raise awareness on cardiovascular disease and promote entrepreneurship. To date, the Foundation has set up the CHike Okoli Centre For Entrepreneurial Studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and is currently training and equipping over 250 students in the science and spirit of entrepreneurship. It has also reached over 130,000 people across Nigeria on lifestyle interventions.

DR. Okoli’s great entrepreneurial strides and philanthropy has won her many awards and accolades. She is a recipient of the MON and OON awards from the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, among others from several local and international distinguished groups.

She loves music, travelling and meeting people. She spends her spare time on charitable work and service to humanity.

 

Olusola Momoh is a Co-Founder and Vice-Chairman of Channels Television. She is responsible for the formulation of performance enhancing policies focusing on financial management and has strategic oversight of the company’s corporate development.
Olusola Momoh has a unique style of management, which, coupled with her strong commitment to excellence and growth, will continue to augment and enhance Channels Television’s corporate expansion drive whilst ensuring an efficient performance regime.
Olusola Momoh’s strong commitment to the vision of her husband, Channels TV’s Chairman and CEO, has created a solid operational balance and veritable strategic latitude, which in turn, is ensuring in an effective commercial roadmap for growth.
She was offered a directorship position at the Convention on Business Integrity (CBI), a non-governmental agency that entrenches transparency and due process. In essence, Olusola’s management discipline does underpin the integrity of the Channels TV brand. To her credit, not only is she a seasoned broadcaster with over 30 years of experience in Television Journalism. Olusola Momoh has also cultivated a penchant for maintaining the highest levels of ethical and professional standards both on-air and off-air.
Prior to starting Channels Television, Sola was at different times Reporter, News Caster and Producer with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), between 1979 and 1987.
At NTA, she produced several reports on the oil spillage in the Niger-Delta communities, which prompted the Federal Government to pay compensation to some of the victims in the restive region.
After NTA, Olusola worked with the International Merchant Bank (IMB) for seven years. There, she established and headed the Corporate Affairs department of the Bank. She later served in other departments within IMB, including Treasury and Credit.
She is a graduate of the University of Lagos with a B.Sc. degree in Mass Communication specializing in Print Journalism. She is also a Diploma awardee in Broadcast Journalism from the same institution.
An excellent home engineer, Olusola Momoh loves travelling and reading. She is a member of the Friendship Bible Fellowship.
She is happily married to John and they are blessed with three children.

Dr Olufemi Ogunsanya

Dr Olufemi Ogunsanya, gained a Second Class Upper, with Honours in Botany, from the University of Lagos, a PhD, in Microbiology, from the University of Bristol, UK. She worked at the University of Lagos for 10 years, starting as an Assistant Lecturer and voluntarily retired as a Senior Lecturer.
Thereafter, she relocated to London as a Research Fellow at the University College London, for 3 years. She then progressed to pursue her interest in Microbiology by setting up a Quality Assurance company that serviced the food industry in London and Kings Lynn in the Midlands in the UK. She returned to Nigeria in December 1992. She set up Oxbridge Tutorial College on the 1st of August, 1993 as the Premier Sixth form College.

Dr. Olufemi Ogunsanya Chairs some boards among which are:

  • Board of Trustees, Association of Private Educators in Nigeria (APEN)
  • Lagos Anglican Schools Management Board (LASMAB)

Is a member of some like:

  • Elizade University, Ilaramokin, Ondo State (as a Trustee)
  • The Aart of Life Foundation

She has also served on:

  • Board of Governors, Babington Macaulay Juniour Seminary, Ikorodu to mention a few.

Her passion:

  • She is a devout Anglican, mother and doting grandmother.

Mr Leye Taiwo

Mr Leye Taiwo is currently the Managing Director/CEO of Troloppe Property services, a leading end to end property services business covering a wide range of integrated services.
Prior to establishing Troloppe property services, he worked in corporate banking with Standard Chartered Bank and later First Bank Nigeria, working on a variety of sectors from power to Telecoms and Aviation.
He holds a Masters in International Business & Finance and Bachelors in Law Marketing.
